Torre Vado & Pescoluse

Two beaches to discover,
just ten minutes from Mikao Apartment

Choosing an apartment in Torre Pali means having direct access to one of the most beautiful stretches of the Ionian Salento coast, where Torre Vado and Pescoluse, two of the most appreciated seaside locations in the whole lower Salento, can be reached in just a few minutes by car. Starting from Mikao Apartment, you simply follow the coastal road north and, in less than ten minutes, you are already there, with the sand under your feet and the sea in front of you.

There is no need to plan too much: you pack the car, park the parking areas are spacious and spread along the entire coastline, both free and paid and the day begins by itself.

Torre Vado

A complete seaside destination for the whole family

Torre Vado is a well-equipped seaside town, with everything you need to enjoy a carefree day by the sea. Along the seafront, you will find bars, ice cream parlours, pizzerias, trattorias, and small shops selling local products. The equipped beach clubs offer umbrellas, sunbeds, showers, and dining services; those who prefer the free beach simply have to choose the stretch that suits them best.

One particular feature worth knowing about is the Springs of Torre Vado: large pools of fresh water at a constant temperature, in both summer and winter, which over time have become a true ritual for holidaymakers in the area. A dip in the cool water after a morning under the Salento sun is something you will remember.

In the evening, the seaside town does not slow down: the beach clubs turn into bars and venues with music, and the seafront comes alive with families and young people. For those travelling with children, it is one of the most practical and complete destinations on the Ionian coast.

Pescoluse

White sand and crystal-clear sea in lower Salento

Continuing north along the coastal road, after Posto Vecchio with its historic beach clubs, you reach Pescoluse, one of the most photographed and searched-for beaches in all of Puglia. The reason is simple: the sand is white and extremely fine, the seabed remains very shallow even several metres from the shore, and the water is crystal clear.

The dunes covered with acacia trees, reed beds, and white sea lilies that frame the coastline complete a landscape that is hard to miss. Along the beach, stretches of free beach alternate with equipped beach clubs offering umbrellas and sunbeds, dining with Salento cuisine, sunset aperitifs, and evenings with live music. Those who prefer to stay outside the beach clubs will find public parking areas all along the coastal road, with clearly marked access points to the free beach.

Among the available services, there is also a pet-friendly beach club, designed for those travelling with animals. Pescoluse is also one of the few beaches in Salento where Caretta caretta sea turtles choose to nest, a detail that says a lot about the quality of the natural environment surrounding it.
